Post Party Fun
I have uploaded a couple of 80's improvisation and remix songs played by DirgeK which I found in a project file. I think they will put you all in the party mood before Scott's party kicks off. I am not completely sure which bits were supposed to be played together or included but I did what I could with them. I don't think the two songs were supposed to be completely mixed together even though they were in the same project file but any technical experts can let me know what you think.

Haven't checked them out yet - but will be doing so soon.... Are they remixes of already existing 80's tunes, or just in the 80's style? Just curious.

I was listening and looking at your website. Very creative song writing and music, different to what I was expecting. Would need to listen quite a few times before I could decide which you should put on IAC.

Sorry Jill that sounded a bit smartassed of me reading it back. I guess I'm a little peeed off as I invited 80 Europeans and created that show time for them and just 2 (TWO) showed up and one on those was my Husband hahaha

I actually got to hear THREE tunes, and as a SOON to be member (work/school visa) in the UK, bumped up your european stats to THREE !!!
Jill - a few more things to listen to tonight, that were in line before my FAVORITE IAC female musician and then I'll be listening to the eagerly anticipated DirgeK 80's Remix 1 & 2 !!

There were many Europeans present don't get me wrong....Just not the ones that I invited. Hell I even reminded everyone twice and translated it into different languages. Never mind. Promo ain't my thang obviously. I'm tired now too never got to sleep last night.

Phlegm they are reworks of George Michael's 'Wake You Up Before You Go, Go' and Tiffany's 'I Think We're Alone Now'. I think they are fun. She played all the separate parts by Midi.
I am still waiting for comments from the technical experts !

hookay don't know if this is technically expert enough for you, jill but I'm sure people like Keven White & others may show up eventually...
Finally took a moment to listen to her George Michaels cover tune (80's REMIX 1) it's solid enough, and if she played the keys LIVE to the canned beats, then she was a pretty solid key player.... it's HArder than stayin' in time with a human (analog) drummer or backup band, because there's NO flexing for human anomalies. Which is ONE reason it never hurts to practice to a metronome or preprogrammed beats to get your TIMING skills to grow....
Track 2 brings me back to TIFFANY arrgggghh.... but her keys on it are proficient enough, although a little weird in the one improv part but she clearly had the skills to improv, so I'm sure she intended that feel.
I was VERY SAD there was no singing on either of these tracks though! Her VOICE is the MOST amazing thing she brings to music. But clearly, she could play the keys as well! Sounded like something Chris of Data Thieves might have pulled together in a moment of playin' around, and THAT's a compliment...because he's quite the KEYS master, in my opinion.
Nice to see another side of DirgeK that explains why she was able to collaborate with so many musicians & beat makers.... She could play guitar, the keys, and SING like an ANGEL what other suprises of jack-of-all-instrument proportions, have you discovered Jill?

Damn -- she OUT- FIonas FIONA herself !!!
I see that Fiona is definitely one of her influences....but Dirgek had SO MUCH MORE.
Amazing Voice of hers -- part Angel, part Devil....
You should find out about COVER rights & lincensing a cover... and see if this GEM could be released to the general public. SHE NAILS it -- and phreakin' out does Fiona Apple...... ur.... Don't tell Fiona I said so....
