Chemo
I had bad news today from Fred E Jam saying that he has been diagnosed with stage IV throat cancer. Fred helped me so much over the last few years helping to produce a lot of DirgeK's music and playing drums on the tracks 'Coming Home', 'That's How We'll End It', 'Beat Dancin' and 'Colleen'.
He has a page here although he has not been very active on this site as he has been busy running his own site.

Please say a prayer for him, he is such a good, talented guy and his family needs him. I feel so upset by this news

So sorry to hear your news... we just had someone in our close music community who just passed days ago, from the same thing. We'll definitely send positive vibes his way... and yours.

Hi, Thanks to you all for your positive thoughts and prayers, I will pass them on to Fred and thank you Paul for the link, there is a lot of interesting useful information in that article.
Tell me, what happens in USA if your healthcare insurance does not cover the bills. Do you just get left to die ?

45,000 people a year die in the USA because they don't have health care.

I am surprised that your government can allow that to happen. It makes me feel very relieved that we have the NHS in the UK.

In the U.S. you rack up a bill that cannot be paid over your lifetime, and you avoid collection calls until the day you die. I guess I would rather owe them the money, than cheat them out of it.
I hope it's better in the U.K. (this is what we hear anyway).
Fred (and all others suffering) are in our prayers.

66% of all bankrupcy is the result of a lack of affordable health care or health plans that will not pay for illnesses that they deem too expensive to pay for.
Greed is in. Compassion is out. Nothing surprises me any more.

our thoughts go out to Fred at this crucial time,
and our thanks for his dedication to DKs music
we have a friend who had half his jaw removed and is still with us today.
Hope is what we have---- that Fred will come through this.
