Well, the weekend gigs were a success
Easy gigs! 3 hours each afternoon at a flower/gift shop for its Christmas open house. I played solo piano Christmas music as people with money browsed around buying $20 ornaments and $600 Christmas trees.
Easy set up and teardown since all I had was my piano and a small sound system. Owner handed me a check when I was done and we're both very happy.
And the best part is, a studio owner in Ohio happened to be listening and hired me for session work on 2 cd's he's producing. The sessions will be over the next 3-4 weeks.
Every now and then I get it right.... :)
