Stegor's new song experiment
Have you ever deliberately written and recorded a song under such negative and difficult influences that the results were just bound to be negative and difficult? I took this opportunity while I'm recovering from gall bladder surgery to come up with a new song, which I crafted deliberately to translate some of what I went through during the surgery and recovery into an instrumental piece. This means it has elements of pain, anxiety, queaziness, lethargy, confusion, and oxyocdone in it.
So I finished it up tonight and listened to it several times, trying to imagine what people would think of it. I think I may have been too successful. It's an interesting piece of art, but I can't imagine a whole lot of people wanting to listen to it. It reminds me of the equivalent of showing someone your scar. Yuck.
Hey, at least it's short!

I like it, Stegor. It has a nice angularity to it, and reminds me of the Residents a touch (not a bad thing, to my mind). I'm glad you got some inspiration and 'documented' your ordeal. It's good therapy. Hope you're feeling better.

Yes, Larry W, clearly we are!
Steve - I used to actually want to sound like the Residents. They were the ultimate subterranean indie group way back when. We used to try to out-weird them. Now I guess I sound like them without even trying.
Jilly - wha...? I thought I was weird. I do faintly recall a couple of hippies popping out of the incision. I think they were rolling their own jelly babies in there. I also seem to remember "Going to the Zoo" was playing in the operating room.
