What a sad and upsetting story this is, Maybe the my hesitation to respond bears this out, it's just too shocking to contemplate. I'm sure if I listen now it will be even sadder but we should listen, it's the only practical way to pay respects - J

That is shocking news. It is a long hard road after a bereavement but I hope his faith and love of music will eventually be able to give him and his family some comfort and peace. My thoughts are with them.

I saw this post last night and I could not add anything to it. Just too horrible an event. What can one say of real value.
All I can say is to be strong, life has to go on regardless, no matter how difficult it may seem at present. My prayers are with your family.

Please say a prayer for Mark and his Family...his wife was just struck by a car when she was crossing the street at an OSU Football game and killed instantly.
We will up-date you on this when news arrives.
This article was found in the Columbus Dispatch last night. Please remember Mark West in your prayers. This is an extremely trying time for him to say the least :
Woman killed in Saturday crash is identified
Sunday, November 4, 2007 12:11 PM
Police have identified the woman struck and killed by a sport-utility vehicle as she crossed Olentangy River Road last night.
Omeda Kay West, 43, walked into the path of a southbound SUV driven by Steven Swartz shortly after 8 p.m., police said.
The collision occurred at Argyll Street, near the offices of WOSU radio and television.
Police did not release addresses for West or Swartz, though they had said last night that West wasn’t from Columbus.
West had been crossing from east to west when she was struck and was not in a crosswalk, police said. Swartz told police that he saw her at the last second and swerved left to avoid her but struck her with the right front corner of his SUV.
An investigation continues, but Swartz has not been cited by police.
Please play their duet " I Fall To Pieces" found on the website in rememberance of Omeda. She had such a beautiful voice.

Though they were seperated, everyone who was his Friend knows Mark loved her very much. When asked he often publicly said Omeda and him were still best friends and that he would always love Omeda. He often added that if anyone that was ever in love with someone and after a split-up and said bad things about the other or that they don't care, then they really never loved that person anyway. Mark always said she was the first woman he ever really truly loved. His close friends all know that to be true. Omeda was a very public person and a born entertainer. They worked well together and when they sang together you know they had a deep love for each other.
Everyone sometimes goes through rough times. They had more than their share, almost always out of their control. It finally took it's toll on them and they tried seperation for awhile. They were together for the day last Friday and he told me that it was the best day he had in over two years. I know today is his worse day of his life. He will need all the support you have given him in the past and more to get through this...please don't let him down...which I know you won't because he said he had the best fans and friends anyone could ask for. I agree.
So say that extra prayer today for him and his family and also, drop him a line and let him know how much you care.
Omeda had an Angelic voice and will be missed by all of us.
Please leave him your comments or you can personally e-mail him here or at ; mutleyrecordingsinc@hotmail.com
Mark say's he will personally answer all of your e-mails when he returns.
God bless you all
