WHO WAS YOUR FIRST!!??
I was taken in and raised by a family of manatees that mistook me for one of their own, at the tender age of seventeen. As you can imagine...being in such an environment made access to musical instruments somewhat difficult, so I improvised....making prototype after prototype, until finally...one day I struck musical instrument gold and found myself with a remarkable piece of homemade engineering on which I could create music!!!
With such basic tools as coconuts, sharp rocks, vines from the Baracudian orchards, monkey whiskers, cured kelp, an old pair of spectacles(not mine), cocoa beans and banana leaves....I was able to craft a truly unique device.
I called it the ' Shavarak'. For many years I would refuse to play with any other instrument, until one day...it spoke to me. I don't know what it said 'cos it wasn't in English...but it made me realise.
Maybe there was more out there than just the 'Shavarak'!!!

So you were just existing in the wilds on your own before you were taken in by the Manatees at 'the tender age of seventeen' Jack?
Must've been very tough..

Out in the wilds!!!?? I was the wild!!! Chipmunks would fear me...as would the parakeets , for they did not understand me. Over the years that followed this would change as we grew more accustomed to each other. So much so, that I even went on to date one of the parakeets....her name was Trevor, and I loved her very much...but it only lasted three weeks.

It's a mentality like this that keeps me a fan (because it comes through in the music, too).
You just plain rule the school.

Ahhhhhhh....yes, I do like to reflect. I try not to do it too often though as it tends to be hazardous to other drivers...especially at night!!!
It's important for me to share, with anyone who cares to listen...... experiences such as the shavarak, and the transition I made from herbivore to carnivore after eating a strange fruit. It was from events like this that me identity was born and my woodland name derived, 'Lao Gou', meaning ' mountainous urination'....a title of which I remain very proud!!

My first instrument was my voice. My dad built me a stage at age 5 and I use to charge 2 pennies admission to come and hear me sing. I used my hair brush for a mic. I also sang into the washing maching to create effects. I later moved on to the violen and then got my first guitar at 11..........It's still my favorite guitar, an old gibson. Both of my kids learned on it. deb
