hello IAC !!

i didn't make it into the finals of the international songwriting competition...but it's not the end of the world...or is it?

and if you knew how lonely i feel promoting my music online!...if you check my official web http://bettydonelly.blogspot.com you will notice i have a lot of indie pages going on but all my inboxes always remain empty...sometimes i wonder why i still bother ..
i could sure use some cheering up...my fanclub is like the sahara desert...

oh well...i will never give up even though i'm not in a full band yet but this week i asked this nice girl if she wanted to play the bass guitar and she said yes...she seemed very motivated and i have some local gigs coming up...
maybe it's true when they say that when you can't fall any deeper, fortune lies just around the corner...

but i sure could use some support, a litle kiss and maybe a nice review of my songs

so i'm throwing my message in a bottle in the sea of despair hoping it'll wash upon the shore of hope

Keep plugging away, Betty. Anything worthwhile is worth a lot of effort. I think most of the people on this site have had times where there was little recognition and lukewarm responses. Just keep doing what you love and loving what you do- the response will come if you just keep pouring your soul into your music. Congrats on finding a bass player. I've been one for over thirty years and they always seem to be in short supply- you've gotten the hardest position filled already, the rest is 'easy'.

i've been adding friends on my space all night long so my mood has considerably risen...i wrote long letters to some of my oldfest my space friends (all bands)...and i'm hoping to get some response of them aswell..

anyway it's very nice of you to cheer me up
