The future of IAC?
I feel the IAC will become even greater as the years go on. But still I can't be 100% certain of the future. But I can say this without a shadow of a doubt. Right here and now, this is it's
golden era.

I completely agree with you in some way,but company is for independent artists & there will be just only musicians who find their music independent & not suitable for mainstrem sites & "mainstream" listeners. Otherwise there're a lot of talented mainstream artists.
What's the use of arguing about the quantity of talented musicians that is growing day by day?

John----Music wise I absolutely agree-----!!
but we must get more audience each day ----growth has to spiral upwards as there are just too many sites now!
About 1 year ago the number of folk regularly online here (front page) was regularly around 40,000----50,000!!
that compares with 7,000 when I logged in today----though I saw 30,000 a couple of days ago
We have to keep bringing our fans (supporters) here from Myspace, facebook, and anywhere we can to keep momentum .
I think we could make better use of the "Big names" here by having an alternating
famous artist, along with our iac 'pick of the day artist' ----on the front!
(it's always good to see yourself next to a 'name artist' on a station!)
some may say that makes us less "Indie" but we have to educate our audience as we gradually steal them from "mainstream"
I have to say that this site has helped us gain a profile , and make some $$$$ through selling tracks for TV adds---but most of New Zealand is unaware it exists!
we are working to change that!

I agree Silver. And all of us here must do our part to get the word out. Last Dec. Fuji Minx gave an Video taped interview with Vlaze.com. And we told them about how great IAC is. You can see it on the John Fry page. and FUJI MINX.
Also ck. this out http://picksysticks.blogspot.com/2008/03/fuji-minx-news.html
It's a review and pictures of us during our last show. But it advertises IAC.

Actually Silverwood, IAC has far, far more traffic than it did last year, nearly double the amount last I checked. The sessions open counter shouldn't be looked at in the way you seem to be. Thing is if it gets up that high the site starts to not run quite as fast so we often do a quick reset so as to keep everything running as quick as it should.
Still it's a fact that virtual every My Space artist for instance who gets turned to IAC likes this site better so we continue to attempt to point as many artists as we can in the proper direction. :D

and Toby ... the resets are truly welcomed ... The site does seem to run smoother now and I get far fewer error messages ... especially on posting to tag boards ... now I have found the few times I get an error message it's usually "during" one of the resets and in no time it's running great again ...
I highly commend those behind the scenes for how efficiently this site runs and how little down time there is ....
It is a lot more complicated than most folks understand and I just want to say thanks...
