Hi my pseudo-name is Caerlito,

You may know me from Radio Mperia, a series of podcasts I created last year with the express intention of promoting the sadly now defunct Mperia.Com (look on MySpace for Radio Mperia if you want a taste).

Initially I invited artists to submit tracks to me for inclusion, free of charge, and, to minimise online piracy, my vocal segueays were designed to clip each track. However, whether through lack of exposure to this service or apathy from those that did see it, the contributions did not come fast and furious. Shortly after the fourth 'cast Mperia.com contacted me to see if I was interested in doing the podcasts in an official capacity, which held out the prospect of being able to showcase the whole Mperia catalogue on the shows rather than relying on submissions. Sadly, it all came to nothing as shortly thereafter Mperia.com went down with the BitPass ship.

Not only that but the MySpace portal created also lost the weekly playlists (submitted by artists and listeners of Mperia), which had effectively been indiviual playlists hosted at Mperia.

So I turned my attention to IAC.

Having already created a free account for my artistic endevours (check out Kick Asteroid)
I was aware of the hosting services here.Coupling that with the exportable players provided I concluded I could continue Radio Mperia playlist by re-creating it here, and subsequently sent out a bulletin to Mperia artist requesting them to upload to IAC, thus the Radio Mperia station was born.

Regretably, as time has passed the links forged at Mperia have faded.
However as part of the crusade to bring unsigned music to the unwashed masses the list is also open to any IAC artist that has enough get up and go to contact me and request inclusion.

For your information, putting the player/station onto the Radio Mperia MySpace profile increased the play stats considerably: in July the Kick Asteroid track "Don't Listen to Me" registered just one play, probably from myself. The addition of the player to the MySpace profile increased that to 252 in July. Okay, not massive exposure but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp pointy thing. And that's with 1 player 1 MySpace profile
