Blisster band of the day
Wow - that was really cool going to the site and seeing my band photo on the front page. It kinda took me a sec to realize it. funny

Thanks alot guys!

Here a little catchup for those of you i used to chat and forum with. Its been quite a while. I lost my internet access for awhile a few times, and could never remember my password and.........

Yeah we recorded a new cd. 9 songs. I was completely unhappy with it and refuse to let anybody hear it. I posted a few of the tracks here, just to get them out somewhere. Only one person in maine outside the bands immediate families have more than a couple tracks. When i got it home i was really pissed. I didnt even want to play a few of the songs ever again. One was completely dropped from my setlist.

I dont know what it was, an off weekend...first time in the studio for the drummer....a different recording technique....shitty engineer.. no sleep. No excuses, it was a waste of time.

BUT -- since then i have gotten completely focused again. I cancelled a few shows to concentrate on productive practice, and told the band we would have no more shows until we were ready to be a top live act again. It came really close to breaking us up, but we survived and are right on track. Its just a shame we had to waste all our studio funds to straighten ourselves out. It took alot of shows to earn that.

So.. We will be re-recording this cd.. I was going to just redo the vox which were all done in 30 minutes and redo a couple guitar tracks, but i dont think that will make me happy. Gotta start from scratch. Hopefully this summer.

I also have joined a second band. We are doing pretty well. We have opened for some pretty big national acts. Nonpoint, Skindred, Kittie, ... we had to cancel the show with The Misfits, but it looks like we will be opening for Ra soon. We are also doing the soundtrack and acting in a major motion picture whose budget has just reached 8 figures.. Its gonna be a trilogy kind of like Blade and that stuff. They are giving us a huge recording budget, buying us some new gear and paying us very well for our time. I'm going to be playing a vampire along with the other guys in the band. Not huge parts but we are the re-occuring comic relief. And we get to be killed in some really cool ways. Of course being vampires we dont really die, but we get our asses kicked by the other vamps alot.

So thats gonna be pretty cool. Looking forward to getting started on that soon. Still doing contract stuff now, but ive spent quite a bit of time with the writer and director.

Hope you all are doing well in music and life. And hope you had fun new years.

Ill try not to be such a stranger.
