Geibel climbs charts, making music matter
Always Changing hit #3, Breaking Hearts In Heaven hit #26
Berwick, LA - In the rapidly changing and somewhat complicated paths the must be navigated to make it in the music industry, Eric Geibel has found a niche in the independent artist realm. His songs "Always Changing" and "Breaking Hearts In Heaven" have both charted on Independent Artists Company's web site. "Always Changing" has climbed to number 3 and "Breaking Hearts In Heaven" is at number 26.
Eric's music is a combination of classic 70s southern rock, 80s glamour rock, and good ole traditional country. Growing up listening to a wide range of music from ABBA to AC/DC has left a diverse musical collage of experience to draw upon in a country genre. This raw combination of styles has left Eric with a unique sound.
"I am really surprised at the positive response that I have received for my music," Geibel said, "My music has always been such a personal experience, that I didn't know whether anyone else would even like what I was trying to do."

"I am just happy to be part of an industry that has meant so much to me in the past," Geibel said, "I never expected that I would get any recognition for what I was doing." Well recognition is exactly what Eric has been getting. With his recent Artist of the Month honors and nomination for Artist of the Year through Music City Talent and Marketing Group (MCTMG), the rapid climb of songs like "Always Changing" and "Breaking Hearts In Heaven", and the release of his debut CD, the industry is beginning to take notice.
"Always Changing" is a story about the life and relationship of a child and parent and how that relationship changes as children become more and more independent while growing up.
"I relate this song to my experiences as a single father raising my son." Geibel said, "I know as he grows older, that he will become less and less dependent upon dad - I don't want to miss out on anything."
Geibel wrote the song while sitting on the front porch at a girlfriend's house and watching her three daughters laughing, dancing and playing in the front yard. All three girls were at different ages and stages of life. "I was overwhelmed with the differences in the girls and thought about how nice it would be if we could just stop time. But unfortunately, I know that things are always changing," Geibel said.
"Breaking Hearts in Heaven" was originally written in the early 90s while Geibel was contemplating the loss of a special friend to a drunk driver.
