Friends with Benefits...
Hey IAC members - thanks for all the support you've given us over the last year.

We just completed recording our second CD, a 13-song record called "We will not be afraid" ( and have uploaded a few songs from it to IAC). We're trying to get enough money together to cover the manufacturing costs, so we created something we call the Dyslextasy Friends With Benefits fan club.

The idea: We wanted to give our fans and friends an incentive to pre-order the CD, so we are offering a bunch of different things as part of the "Friends With Benefits" club: free autographed CDs, access to our weekly behind-the-scenes podcast, autographed posters, getting thanked in the liner notes, etc.

But we think the coolest "benefit" that we're offering is that we will (for a fee of course) re-record any one of our 19 songs with custom lyrics about anything or anyone. A few years ago (and a few bands ago) I did this as a birthday present for a friend, and it was a huge hit. Basically took one of our better songs, re-wrote the lyrics about the guy, and tracked them with the original backing tracks. Burned a few CDs of it to pass around to friends...

I thought I'd share this with our fellow IAC'ers because we think it's a pretty clever idea to raise some cash, and thought you might be interested to hear about it. We just announced this today, so it we will wait and see if anyone takes us up on it...

If you want to see more about the FWB club, there is information on our website (http://www.dyslextasy.com)

Thanks & happy holidays
