KIAC Player not fully functional on myspace.
When I first joined up I posted my KIAC player on my myspace page, but I quickly found that it didn't work properly.
You can stream the music fine, but when click on any of the links to for instance, buy a song, visit the artists IAC page etc they wouldn't work.
Anyone else had this or know of a work arround?
Myspace seems to mess with peoples code somewhat, all the name of security I'm sure.
How much freedom do we have with html etc here? Guess I could experiment to find out but would want to "break the rules" :-)

Myspace disables all offsite Flash links (in the player). They do this with all other players too, except their own or affiliated ones. You can add html code to link back to your IAC page, and that works. Also, if you embed a Station using the "Put this station's palyer on any website" link that appears on all Station pages, it will generate such a link for you. And in answer to your question, you are free to modify or add to the generated html.

I've had repeated problems with my IAC Player on MySpace too, but IAC's techsupport people have always helped me sort it out.
I've made a separate direct banner link to my IAC Artist page here and I find that periodically regenerating the code and repositioning it helps. MySpace takes forever to update sometimes and there is absolutely zero/zilch/nada tech support there - I have come to really detest Tom and the MySpace management but the site and Friends structure works extremely well.
I maintain a presence both here and there and, contrary to what some IACers seem to think, I don't think one is better than the other but each is just better at doing different things.
But which would I choose if I could only have one?....
