Now this is a review
This is the best review I have had so far, I love the description. They are talking about our song I should have see if you agree.
The Review
Getting Back in the Swing (KIAC Station)
I like the subdued nature of this tune. There's a lot of pent-up energy just under the surface, and it comes out in the solo and the lyrics. The vox are suitably low-key, while still keeping the pace- like holding the leash tight, on a pair of killer dobermans. Really good feel and words that are easy to identify with
Thanks again SRM.
Cheers Mark

Ditto to the above Mark - And many thanks to SRM for the add and the comment:
"From the opening bassline, this song grabs you and makes you 'pay attention'. A lot of raw energy in this track, from a very energetic band. Reminds me a little of what I felt, the first time I heard the Jam. This song has a serious groove to it, and a strong lyric. I like the laid-back vocal style that's still rough and insistent. The solo is ferocious!"

One of my favourite reviews came from Brian Booth for "Iron Lung Blues" -
"Yes, it really is as tasteless as the title suggests. But it's also very, very good. I'd recommend 'Really Cheesy Theater theme', too, from the same artist, so convincing that by the end, I was sure I knew the TV series it had been written for."
From his Serendipity XVII station.
(Actually, I just like the fact that he called it tasteless - exactly what I was going for)

srm gives great reviews!
I know he has written a glowing review on my music and think (not sure) that this is one of his about "Syntheny For Jay":-
"I'm not usually one to hop on a bandwagon, but how could I resist when the material is this good. The song 'blurb' states that this was number one in the Ambient charts for quite a while and earned a KIAC nomination, and it's easy to hear why. I AM a sucker for trance-like, emotive soloing, and RedRobin plays the Native American wood flute like no one else I've heard- full of emotion and dynamics. I beautiful journey that ends too soon."

Thanks guys. It's easy when the songs are so good. Of course, there's so much material on this site that I hardly have time to listen to a fraction of it.

i've been lucky enough to have some very kind reviews, and the last one i got was no different....
STEVE ISONS IAC DIARY....
30.1.08...Well i've had this great late 60s sunny psych-lounge pop gem in my head all day... I just love the line 'Good looking girls with ugly mothers' and don't really know why 'except i was thinking its really poetic- and in its own quirky little way quite daring to put in a pop song....Its the sort of bizarre line you'd come up with at the same time as writing the melody out of nowhere.I love the fact that the verse is so short and just leaps out over the waterfall into that delightfully sparkling dreamy chorus..Wonderful chord changes and fabulous kalaidescopic harmonies too,it just makes me feel good-and so little modern music does,unfortunately..
cheers, steve....

Alright - We'll promo the Steves and their very nice reviews too. The self promo is only coincidental. On "The Shadow of Scamperance Couligran":
"I have to admit that I was drawn to this tune originally by the title. I was amply rewarded. This is a "Wisconsin Jig" with a fair amount of old-school psychedelia. I love the mix of instrumentation- mandolin and synth (among others), as well as the tale of a woodland gnome who (by the illustration) looks remarkably like a guy I used to know. The song is a treat for the ears, full of fun energy and lots of hip sounds."
-srm
"What a wonderfully late 60s/early 70s style freak out title. Deserves to be included just for that! The song itself is a cool mystical folk/rock/prog hybrid about the dancing habits of a little green mythical fella. Has a great atmosphere and a lot of imagination in the arrangement.. Nice one."
-Steve Ison
You guys are great!
