Old vs New
I keep thinking with the discussion about if independent musicians now are as good as the iconic bands, like The Who, etc. I think you have to give enormous credit to their managers that were just as inspired and talented as the musicians themselves. I'm thinking of stuff I've read about David Geffen and Brian Epstein and guys like that. They believed in the artists and loved their music and their individuality. They were personal friends with them and even sort of took care of them personally as well as professionally.
So here's Paul McCartney from the cd out in October. What does everybody think? Sort of Beach Boys at the very end .....

I like this a lot. It sounds like the Beatles but it doesn't sound dated. Just really fine writing and production. Not sure how well it will be received but I am hopeful it is welcomed. We need more organic music like this. Get tired of these over produced Pop records. They all sound the same to me. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it!

I agree, Stoneman. I thought it was very much in the style of the original Beatles tunes. I'm curious too if that's enough to make it popular, current day.

I like this.
If I heard this on IAC, I'd add it. Kinda singer songwriter, with a pleasing pop patina.
How about this???

That's one of the best rock songs ever made. Lucky you if you're just hearing it recently. They say if you never heard a song before, it's new music.
