2 new IMP songs I love
So congrats to Bryon for "Midnight Rendezvous" - talk about getting away from it all with an evening of wine, weed and song - this is my ideal soundtrack. I love the whole nouveau lounge stuff that's out there now. It's like retro lounge with a twist. Bryon's tune is as cool as the soundtrack for a favorite movie of mine, "China Town" where the main theme is that retro 30's jazz with the 80's twist.
Also I love Chandra Moon's beautiful and relaxed duet with Moriba Kuyarteh - Apollo. I like the sound of the kora - never had a chance to hear anything else performed on that instrument. Someone told me that you can hear the air in Africa. I believe it. Chandra, I so admire how you travel to play music with people from different cultures. You even do it when you're home in Bristol. And I like your flute playing.

Well, thank you so much Dolores on digging the vibe of MIDNIGHT RENDEZVOUS, I dont get too many Raves and Likes and appreciation about my music around IMPNATION, but do have some fans and those who appreciate my groove here. It is not for everyone, here, that is, but do on occasion have people who dig it and if it moves one person like you or a few others around here, well, that is cool and what it is all about. At another site I meta tagged it like this where is gets embedded in the tune and gave it a sexy description because it is all about two lovers finding that magic place for their tryst .
I am an instrumentalist and thats my bag, see, thats what I do, its not about that, it is about the art, the inspiration as I dabble at the keys, there is magic at the acoustic piano for me and that is where I do my most recording and playing, and in this case at the Keyboards ,using my old synths and strings and recording a nice mellow easy listening tune.
I am also proud of the fact that I have been featured not only here and other music sites with fans there, but in a wider much more broader audience on terrestrial radio. I have been featured across Canada on our national broadcaster CBC radio like a number of my Canuck friends and on canadian college radio and continue to be featured Five years straight at HUMBER COLLEGE in Toronto everyday with songs from my holding to the dream cd and also overseas in Europe and some smaller stations in the US. So here I am bragging about it, how many of us have had that happen, well enough of us I am sure.
I am a little fish in a Ocean of incredible and very gifted and talented artists but do have fans and music directors in radio (due to my many years in the promo biz helps) who feature my music beyond this place, and even though it may never reach the same level of some places on the net in the music world including here I stilllove IMP and it is a place I call home, thank you to those who keep it happening
regards
