So Happy With This Collab
I always carry this scene in my mind of the perfect cocktail lounge - dim lights, cool conversation and a stylish combo on a small stage in the corner. I've never found a place like that yet, but here's the music that would definitely be playing. Thanks to Duane Flock for some how managing to play the perfect guitar for this very specific imaginary atmosphere. The melodic leads and smooth rhythms are ultra modern and chill but with a nod to the fabulous vintage guys like Barney Kessel and Kenny Burrell. What beautiful playing ....
Enjoy!

Wonderful celebration of harmony and calm at a time when we really need it! When an oasis or sanctuary does not exist it has to created in art. And that's what Duane and Delores have done as only they can. (Added to my stations: Instrumentally Yours and Under The Covers) Excellent work from all involved!!

Thanks so much for the station adds, Richard and for this comment too. It's really satisfying to have you understand exactly what the intention was. It's doubly so, that an artist as good as you felt like we succeeded.

I agree with Neil's review.
I'm not sure which is more hazy the dimly lit bar or my head from that second martini but just a splash matches the buzz. Duane breezes by on his guitar that almost gently weeps while Delores tickles the keys like a playful kitten the combination is somewhat hypnotizing,
If you had a long day sit in your armchair with your favorite drink and let just a splash carry you away and relax with just the right mix of hazy or with an intentional second glance you know you read the room correctly so take a walk on the beach with her or him and see which way the tide takes you.

Thanks Ken! Sadly my playful kitten days are long gone, more like the sarcastic martini sipping old cat at the end of the bar these days haha. But your description is lovely and I'd say that's proof enough for me that I did my job creating the atmosphere :) So glad you liked it

Your playful kitten days are only gone if you want them to be.
I have been through many battles and am road haggard an weary from my travels but yet I still believe things are not so far gone that there is no hope.
So if you want to be a sarcastic cat that is up to you but you are the one who chooses how you will be not the world or anything else. Let the moonlight guide your path and the sun shine on your back whichever way you go you know for sure its been one hell of a ride.
Food for thought

Only kidding Ken - believe me (I was actually thinking more about looks haha) - I have never acted my age and I am the last person on Earth to ever give up on joy and light and all the wonderful things. It's why I record music and upload it places- to try and dispel all the negativity around. A good soundtrack always makes life better, I think. Still, a sarcastic sense of humor definitely has it's place in the arts.

I hope you never loose your free spirit and never act your age what fun is that?
I enjoy your creations and sarcasm is fine.
I just would hate to see a good cat like yourself get down.
Its a cool song that makes brings back memories of the days with seedy dimly lit bars
Thanks for the tune,

Very enjoyavle to listen to added to jazz station. I think Jazz music is due a comeback. Artists like Djamgo Reinhardt, Miles Davis and John Coltrane thats only the 30,s to 50,s. These are the people i like. Very very interesting. Genius with 2 finger playing style a Gypsy

Dolores and Judy did a fine job on this one. They took their time and worked at it for a couple of weeks making sure that the final product was what the vision was.
I actually had another cool riff for this song they left out and the ladies may use it on something else later. Hahahaha
I'm just glad to help out.
SCS worked on my song "Guen" with me which actually did very well. Both songs were a trade off to help each other out. Teamwork works very well.
Just A Splash is cool
I like IPA's but may also consider "On The Rocks" (new title for upcoming tune)
Cheers,
Duane

Guilty as charged of addiction to editing - we have multiple versions of every song we do - but total oversight forgetting to credit Duane with coming up with the title for this tune - it sets the tone as much as all the sounds do - 1000 apologies
