When you were 14
So many great guitar players here ... so can anyone go back in time to your 14 year old self and think of something music related that you would have liked for a b'day present? I have a nephew who is apparently really good - wins competitions on classical guitar and plays bass in the school jazz band. Any suggestions for a present? (moderately priced)
Thanks
D

Get him some sheet music of classical and jazz pieces. Throw in some picks and a cool guitar strap! Maybe an electronic tuner? A guitarist can never have too many strings, so get him a set or two of nylon strings and bass strings. An iTunes gift card?

secondhand jazz bass plenty to choose from even on modest budget. All sorts of copies about craigslist and facebook are your friends
