No Radio at work!!!
Today we were told that due to the Prs/Mcps alliance imposing a charge on the company for us to listen to radios in the factory, all radios are now banned!

I personally agree that factories should be treated just the same as other public places and a licence be required for which payment is given. This way there is a larger pot from which to pay the artists. (I don't know what the broadcast licencing situation is like in America, but it's getting pretty tight here in the UK).

You should have heard the moans and uproar from the workers!!!!!

I explained why the money was collected from factory owners, but they failed to see the point.
I asked if they would work the job they were doing for free, to which they all replied "of course not".

Then why should they expect that songwriters should not get paid for entertaining them with their songs!

Am I the only person who holds this opinion, or does the whole world think that musicians should do everything for free?
