Please give some feedback on this track!!!
Hi everyone.
I've started writing for the new TNT album and would like some feeback from fellow songwriters.
The track is on the TNT page now.

I've played all the parts myself apart from the drums which I programmed. It's the demo I'll give to the rest of the band to learn and figure out their own way of playing their parts.
The lyrics in the verses are unimportant at the moment as I'm still writing them, so I used lyrics from one of our older tracks in their place, but the chorus lyrics a pretty close to how they will be in the final version. Obviously the mix is very rough, but I'd appreciate any comments / help you people could offer?

I actually think that the mix isn't terrible.
I gave this a listen and, while it's not totally my bag o' weed, I can hear a song like this on AOR radio. So please take my advice with a grain of salt.
The chorus is what you're looking for the most input on, so I'll be blunt:
There needs to be more melodic differentiation between the chorus and the verses. As it is now, the only thing making it pop at all is the arrangement -- it is a good a dynamic shift, and I like the addition of the lead guitar part. I would still like to hear it shift keys, or even just maybe hang on the tonic a little more. Keep hitting that, maybe a little more staccatto?
bomp-bom bom
bomp-bom bom,,,
Add some vocal harmonies, too?
Just to make it POP a bit more. This is a pop song, so the chorus really does need to jump out.
Other than that, the basic, overall construction is solid.

Thanks HoP.
I agree about the difference between verse and chorus. Once the bass player and drummer have worked out their parts I'll see what the difference is, and also what diffence the correct lyric will make to the song. (i'm a firm believer that a good lyric is worth just as much as a good melody).
I might try dropping the chorus after the solo and putting a key-changed bridge, then adding two more choruses at the end raised a second.
