Dogs or Cats, Which sort of person are you?
Excerpt from a Dog's Daily Diary:
8:00 am - Dog food! My favorite thing!
9:00 am - A car ride! My favorite thing!
9:40 am - A walk in the park! My favorite thing!
10:30 am - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing
12:00 pm - Lunch! My favorite thing!
1:00 pm - Played in the yard! My favorite thing!
3:00 pm - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!
5:00 pm - Milk Bones! My favorite thing! Did someone say TREAT !!??
7:00 pm - Got to play ball, and frisbee! My favorite thing!
8:00 pm - Wow! Watched TV with my master! My favorite thing!
11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!
Excerpt from a Cat's Daily Diary:
Day 683 of my captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter"
I am. The audacity!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded! The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe..............for now...

I fear that I am much more like the feline than the canine in personality, although I do love dogs very much. I have both cats and dogs as precious family members. I think I would prefer to be more like a unconditionally loveable dog than the aloof and sometimes unpredictably loveable cat. Eye

Hee hee, great topic! & I love the difference between cats & dogs, we have both as family members too & they are all so completely different, our cat sleeps almost 24/7 & has a bit of a stalk around the grounds early morning before his next marathon snooze, the dogs would happily walk all day & night & go anywhere in a car at anytime, loads of fun & I miss them so much when I can't take them with me, I guess they know this & they make sad faces when they see the car being loaded up on gig nights, if I had the space I think I'd be surrounded by rescue dogs so I think that makes me more a dog person :)

I love cats and dogs.. I think the independance of cats is great THEY LOVE FOOD
i would love to rear a baby tiger....I also love dogs they are a big responsability,,, i have had many Rottwiellers great big teddys ... They only live about twelve years because of there size.. At present have a staffy she is very qute and demanding a diva called miss OTIS,,, regrets shes unable to lunch today madam...

Excerpt from another dog's diary
8.00am - Bursting for a pee but had to hold it until someoned appeared to open the back door
9.00am - Car ride. hated getting in there, I feel sick and there's bars, left for 45 mins in the heat till they finished shopping. People made faces at me and laughed.
10. 30am - Walk around block on a short lead that they keep jerking around my throat whiled shouting heel every 10 seconds. Humiliating to be watched doing my 'busininess' and have someone scoop it up in a plastic bag afterwards.
11.30am - got petted by the kids, pulled my tail and patted me annoyingly on my head but wouldn't let me lick them
Afternoon and most of evening - tried to sleep but my bed was crawling with fleas, did a bit of exercise like jumping on the sink to see out of the window......all I saw out there was the cat, climbing trees, lying in the sun, chasing mice and looking into other people's gardens. She did keep popping in and out of her cat flap to see me....and gloat
Food today - just the one meal of dried lumps of something unrecognisable and a bowl of water, but if I drink too much of that I'll be bursting for a pee again and have to wait for someone to open the door - again
