Death
So, lost a number of friends the last while, some younger a couple older , well I am old now, for real, some were musicians and people from groups I was involved with, a number from church I attended, this weekend going to my sons girlfriends dad celebration of life who is about my age, brings one closer to the process and preparing making sure everything is attended to , personal affairs , will, etc, preparing for ones demise and having a place to be buried, or cremated.
get your affairs in order, that is my advice and suggestion, To avoid dying intestate, it's important to create a valid will that clearly outlines how you want your assets distributed after your death. This ensures that your wishes are followed and can simplify the legal process for your loved ones.
Each day creeps closer to the reality, I wont know when I am dead, I hope it is in my sleep, or quick, a lingering illness or disease I would not tolerate. so , thats that
All I know is do the best you can, any disagreements in family or such make things right, dont let personal differences or beliefs get in the way and allow hurt feelings or hatred be a thing.
I have nothing more to offer here as a station manager or musician, that seems to have evaporated,, other more vital and important aspects to my life are taking precedence
Family first everything else is less important
take care my IMPNATION family

Dear Bryon,
You give sage advice as always. It’s been an honor to be considered one of your IMP family.
Your music and your wisdom have certainly been an inspiration. Your critiques of my songs are among my most precious memories. They were the most poetic and insightful descriptions of my work. You as a person and you as a musical genius gave a brilliant and unique analysis of my musical creations. Each one made my day. You connected to my wave length and got inside my subconscious like no one ever has in terms of truly understanding and appreciating Scottimusic. Bless you and yours and be at peace.
In Music and Life,
Richard

Bryon, I hope there is nothing under the surface of what you have written, but whatever the situation, you can say ‘I have done good and I have made a difference in people’s lives’ . Your music and your efforts to help other musicians will be your legacy here - but not too soon I hope!

yeah I think about death all the time. My particular ailment is famous for quick deteriorations so I am blessed with an energy to get the most out of the rest of my time. If I keep doin' stuff I think about it less, yanno.

Very Good Information Bryon. And someone having the "Power Of Attorney" for you will mean absolutely NOTHING "once you die" either. That's weird as hell to have been encouraged to accomplish this with my parents before they died to "resolve those issues which you are speaking of". Thank You for being here at IMP and helping us out. Much Appreciated! Peace and Love unto you and yours. -M-

I agree with all you’ve said and have sorted all my stuff out too but I don’t intend to leave my music behind any time soon even though I go through periods of neglecting it. Keep well Bryon - you’ve always been such a good supportive person here.

Beautifully said Francesca, thank you and I can naught but echo your sentiments.
Like everyone here and those absent, we all owe you Bryon and Father Time for all you have done for indie and especially the folks here.
As Larree said, much love to All.. and you too Phlegm! Good to see you again, welcome home!
Richard, Chandra, and Mortimer - you've all reminded us of our needs and obligations -
"... and miles to go before I sleep."
Best to all and thanks again.

Condolences Bryon, glad you're still around though. We still have a song or two up our sleeve, right?
A few months ago (Feb.), my wife got spinal meningitis and the doctors asked that we may need to make "arrangements". We had made a living trust just a few months earlier. Even near death changes your life dramatically. She's just now getting around with a walker, but I still do everything, cook, clean, laundry, stores, etc. I even spent a week in the hospital exhausted from caring for her and neglecting myself. (raspatory and Aflib) Makes you really think about getting older. We're both OK and on the mend now though.
2026 has got to be better!

Death or taxes they had been lurking outside my door for a while, and then the wind blew hard and death was sent packing (for a while I hope). But taxes remained staunch and unweilding. Damn. Bryon you are the life of this place over many years. Look at the other names on this thread who know your input here over decades Duane, Richard ,Mortimer, Chandra Steve, Larree, Franceska, Lars, Phlegm- Scott of course !! ALL of us have benefited from interacting, or being added to your stations.Or disagreements over whatever. You Rock Sir. The gift of music is what you give to the world
Family is always first. Kia Kaha
