Acoustic Guitars Sound and Play Better a Whole Step
Tuned down. Don’t think I could break that habit now.

Standing in and playing with other bands sometimes was a challenge when they tuned down. A lot of bands tune down cause Eb and D is a lot easier to sing for vocals. If you recognize it and play the appropriate chords, there's no problem.
Sometimes I play a 5-string bass with a low B. It's thrown a few people off if they pick it up without asking first. Then the guitarist is looking to see what key your in, and it throws them off.......... kinda funny.

I like standard tuning. I learned bar chords and basic transposition early. So I never needed to detune for singing or to accompany other singers.

On one occasion, I have written a song that absolutely will not sound the same in any other voicing or position, not with a capo, not with another chord substitute, nothing. The only solution was to tune down a full step. It does happen where nothing has quite the same sound. Not practical for a live situation unless you have a pre prepared tuned down guitar on hand for the occasion. Same thing with altered tunings. Experiments with altered tunings are fun. Not practical, but fun. Otherwise I prefer standard. To each his own I guess.

All mine sound richer, like they were made to be tuned that way, especially the Gibson Jumbo.
Anyway, I know all my material that way. Too late to change now. I'm not playing with others anyway.
I always tune that way on acoustic, and my electrics are tuned normal.

I use 432 hrtz tuning on some of my songs and the sound is far richer.
For Larree if you want to try it and have a snark click the calibration button then when the tuning fork appears arrow down to 432 hrtz
it has been said that this is true pitch as was the standard before USA converted to 440hrtz
you play exactly like you do standard tuning but each string is slightly lower.
For acoustic it sounds great in my opinion.
Try it for yourself it takes 5 minutes if you don't like it 440 hrtz is always there.
