Even Your Tears Flow to the Sea...
They do.
This is one song I wrote I think should outlive me...
I have never been able to beat this ghetto box version. Something tricky in the strum, something in the voice.
Maybe you love her this way.

Congrats on the Artist of the day Bob ! ... I really did notice ... and I really did check out the song (more than once) ... and I liked it too ... Just didn't want to appear to be a "Backslapper" or an obsessed fan .... or a guy who needs to get a life ... or a self-promotion geek ... or ... well you get the picture ...
I really, really dislike it when people think that way ... it's a shame that some folks think that no one can be honest and sincere and actually say something nice at the same time ... I really thought that most Artist were above that crap ...
Once again ... congrats
Edit ...
What the hey ... I never let it stop me before ...
Even Your Tears ...
Very Raw ... Very Real ... this is pure music to my ears ... sitting in a room, up close and personal with a man and his acoustic guitar ... pouring out his emotional thoughts ... I'm sitting with beer in hand and an easy smile welling up to the surface ... I don't want to disturb him ... because that would disturb this most pleasurable moment ... I'm watching and I notice, as he doesn't appear to even see me ... he is singing to himself ... but I hear him loud and clear ... a gifted, crafted voice ... taking me on a journey from the very apex of the mountain of love ... through the river of life ... and out into the all encompassing sea ... and it's so ... so ... so alright ...

Saw you as featured artist, and rather than create a blog Congratulating you --- looked for one where it was already mentioned.
So congratulations Mr. Elliot - you're a talented prolific singer/songwriter/guitar player and deserve the recognition.
And I do dig this ghetto box version of the tune, did you do the backup vocals AFTER the fact yourself, or was somebody in the room with you at the time? nice.

As has already been said:
The Artist of the Day thing is very well-deserved. And I love the song you posted and added it to my "Good Stuff Trois" station.
Even the title is poetic and evokes images and emotions, before I even hit "play".
I also love the pic!

Ah thanks...
I don't know what I'd do without IAC.
Yeah, I did those backups after, and it was so funny because I had to work at lowering the recording quality to match the ghetto box. I was at the time reading a lot of threads about how to improve recording quality and meanwhile I was trying to get mine worse.
It's just that I've never been able to outdo that recording yet.
I like what the song says. Kinda surprised I wrote it, 'cause I don't know why the words came out like that.
I was at the time trying to write a song a bunch of people would sing loudly in a pub since I like the sound of a bunch of drunks singing together.
Not sure that's what I wrote, but you know, you can hear it that way in your head if you try.
I was again honored to be an artist for a day.
