I have heard many bands claiming to be metal but one listen told me they were not.
There have been some blogs form other metal groups who did not get any response except for mine.
It does not seem that old metal has much of an audience in the modern world.
Now in place of old metal has risen progressive rock. Look at Dream Theater they are huge. They have no songs on the radio and sell out all over the world.
This is only my opinion and I could be wrong but it does not seem at least in America there is the patience for this style anymore. Maybe Brittish would be more flexable. They love American Rockers.
My advice to you would be to take your metal licks and refine them to get more of a broad appeal. This is not failure music is an evolution constantly changing.

Hello Ken,
Thanks for your comment. Yeah, metal music is a lot changed, and
also it's not easy to stay alive with Metal Music...too many bands ...
everyday you can listen 100/200 new bands...it could be nice, but
unfortunately it's totally different...
The new Metal bands use to mix everything together and to call it again METAL...
Started to change everything with Black and Death...and after it's came Gothic etc etc...
But!!! I believe in the GOOD METAL....
I hope will never die!!
All the best

Metal is a tough road but you have your goals set. It is important to do what feels right. The public is an ever changing and fickle. Stick to what your good at and more importatnt what you like to do. In the end that is most important.
If you get a chance I hope you can stop on by my page and leave a comment. I am not metal but you might like my hard rock tunes.
I wish you the best success.

Just listened to Axemaster's page and thoroughly enjoyed both numbers. Added "Golgotha" to my station
Naw it's not dead, altho' Ken it correct -- interest is limited.
And as you yourself say mainstream metal has turned down some pathetic paths. Many young metal fans seem unable to realize that their conformity is severely limiting, altho' I'm sure the artists are sincere enough.
I've been farting around with old metal styles this year. Another guitarist who overheard came in and said: "I'd be interested in that old-style metal". So there you go -- it's still alive!
Keep the faith!

Dear Kozy,
nice to see that you liked our songs..and thanks very much for your support.
We are a legendary old school metal from Ohio-Usa and soon our next CD will be out.
I not found a lot of Old School Metal in IAC. A lot of metal bands have changed their style to sell more CD's ...and yes! The music is like the fashion, every year a news!!
Axemaster wants to keep alive the OLD SCHOOL METAL, and I'm sure soon or late, the world will enjoy again like in the past.
A lot of older BANDS are back....AXEMASTER will be with them!!
Thanks for your time...I will come to visit your link for sure...

Just got done listening to your songs. I see that you are true to your cause to keep the old metal alive. I like that you stick to your guns and face the battle to keep your genre alive head on. As you say the old shall be new again what was past is not yet doomed. There is a new generation on the rise one that does not conform to the old ways.
I added you to my station. You have my support. Carry the torch brothers bring back the days where guitars screamed and vocal soared I would enjoy seeing more metal becomming main stream again.
Peace

I also wanted to add. You said there is not much metal on IAC and your right.
Check out "Almah"

They are considering a US tour. Maybe the two groups could team up?
Just a thought.
