I'm done with IAC, I guess our music just isn't good enough! Truth hurts, but life goes on...
I've been on IAC for over a year now, and actually had some people listen to, and like some of the twenty plus tunes on our site. At least I thought they liked them. I started checking every tune that was supposed to be on one station, or the other, and they're ALL GONE, yanked, like some moldy bread, or whatever. The've expired, reached their listening pleasure pull date. What's the fucking point! If out of twenty four songs, none are worth listening to, then fuck it! I've gotta get a new hobby, and stop stuffing my so-called music down everyone's picky, over educated pallet. What am I spending money for, to torture my already beaten to a bloody pulp ego. I Suck, I get it. Fuck it!

Wow .. I just tuned in and saw this ! ... Tim say it ain't so brother ...
Your tunes evidently got hung up in that black-cyber space- hole from hell ...
I noticed a few artist who it's happened to ....
Management came on a little while back and said they were working on the problem...
but if you don't want to wait on them just re-upload your stuff man ...
Anyway I hope you reconsider ... but either way ... peace to you and yours my friend

Why leave TJ. I think it is not that we dont like or dont want to play your tunes, it is highly likely some of the songs may have been dropped by IAC during maintenance or migrating the media to new servers. IAC was offline for at least a week at one time or more over the last year. There could be a very logical reason for this situation happening. Of course there is a need to refresh ones catalogue of songs too. Perhaps offering reviews of other peoples music is a great way to improving ones musical appreciation and palette. That way we can appreciate the great variety of music and musicians that are here and grow from that experience as well maybe you have done that, I really don't know, jsut take a moment or a day and think this all over.
Please dont go, every artist is an important and integral part of this community and we value you as a musician and performer. Think it over before you leave. I am sure many others will offer their insight and support for your material and gain your faith and trust in the system and people here at IACMUSIC.com
and so I leave ,saying ,please reconsider.
may you have a merry christmas and happy new year ?

HOLY MOLLY! You are very pissed off!
First I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Tiziana Hurd, CEO of SolMusic Management Inc. Canada. I manage and then I have in IAC some of my artists like:
- Shaman
- Almah
- Tony Martin
- Gorky Park
- Axemaster
- Roman Miroshnichenko
- Dmitry Chetvergov
I manage bands more then 11 years and believe me its not a joke, this is my full time job. Why I am to tell you that? Simple, because music business is a very difficult one, and there are a lot of great new bands around the world, then its not because you added your 20 songs here in IAC that you will become a ROCKSTAR tomorrow, and in plus to swear sure not helps you to go ahead...and to make fans in your site.
I don't think IAC pushed you to pay an amount to get more music here, that it was only an offer and you accepted! A good promotion, good manner and respect for IAC that gives to all bands the opportunity to add our music and to promote our songs around the network with other musicians and good people, that it would be a great thing from you.
I hope Christmas will help you and your mind to understand that what you wrote here its really stupid and believe me.. .this time you did a great promotion to your band!!!
Good luck and I wish you and yours Merry Christmas and Happy 2009 full of happiness and success.

Thank you, and God bless you. I don't know you, but what I do know is, you are real, and I need the input from real people right now. My Wife is in the hospital again, and I'm depressed, unmotivated, and lonely. Music has always been my escape, my safe place, something that no one can take away. But I'm 52 years old now, and I am at the prime of my playing ability. But depression is sucking the life out of the motivation to create. Thank you for you kind and gentle words. You truly are one of the good ones. Sorry about the cussing.
Love and infinite Peace,
Tim Franklin

What Bryon said was right on. This is surely related to the recent issue IAC has had with one song folder that we're going to have back in full operation soon. So it's not your songs that got dropped by stations, they're still there, just need to be reactivated when the issue is remedied.

So, you think you're going to win over everybody that hears your tunes? The world is a little bit bigger than that my friend.
If you got just a few people here to listen and add your tunes, then you've accomplished something good. Everybody here does the same damn thing! These are all artist that are all looking for approval of fellow musicains/writers before unleashing thier art on the rest of the world! If your music got lost in the shuffle, it's probably because 1) you didn't spread the word thinking it would snowball, or 2) you haven't come up with anything new lately.
I'll even waqger your 20 tunes got a higher rating than mine did ever did!
Point is........ You get back what you put into your efforts. If you put a few YEARS learning to play, then you're an idiot for giving up because of one site.
You do what you think you need to, but I think deep down your excuse is lame!!

Dear Tim,
I don't know if your post was about my comment, but anyway I'm really sad to know that your wife is in hospital. I understand your feeling especially when someone part of our life is sick it's not easy, and then we go in depression.
My dear, 52 years old it's not a big number.. there are artists still on stage older then you...then I suggest you to take your time to stay with your wife, she needs you very much right now....and in the same time you listen good music that will help your feeling and your heart to go ahead with YOUR MUSIC.
I'm a simple person, a good one, like you said, and I hope to get good news from you soon about your wife and yourself.
Take care my dear, I will post a candle for your wife front my window...I hope it will help her.
Love and Peace

Sorry if I insulted anyone with my crass language. I'm depressed, and angry, and venting, and spewing. I love the concept of Independent music. I am not, nor have I ever been a competitive person. I don't like music contests, or competitions, and so I thought the "radio station" Idea was brilliant. If people like your songs, they will play them on their stations. No losers, just winners. Of course I was ecstatic to have some of my creations "added" to people's stations. This validated to me that somewhere out there someone wants to here one of my songs more than once, and, maybe even share it with others. I don't have any misconceptions, or crazy pretentious ideas that I should be a rock star!. I work for a living, and play when I can. However, I have written over 50 tunes, and as I record them I share them, share them on the internet, rather than try to play them in bars full of drunks, drunks that want to hear anything BUT your music. It just hurts to be "removed" from people's radio stations. I have'nt removed anyone from mine, if anything, I will continue to ADD, as I hear new cool stuff. Anyway, thank you for the kind words, and sorry for the cussing.
Love and infinite Peace,
Tim Franklin

Duane,
I'm not some kind of ego maniac that thinks that I should throw a fit if everyone doesn't rave about my music. I've had 16 songs "reviewed" on garageband, and believe me, any delusions of grandeuer I may have had, have been obliterated. I find that, when given a chance, people are more than happy to point out every flaw in your efforts. I'm a man, I can take a lickin' if I deserve it. I've been doing this all my life, busting my ass to learn my craft. I can proudly say that those highest hourly rate I've ever earned, I earned playing music. I don't know the answer to the dilemma of the artist, and I'm not lazy, in fact because of the way I feel, I will record and upload my latest song idea, in the name of my wife Michele, while she is in the hospital tomorrow, so look for that. Hey man, I'm just stressed, and depressed. I would love to jam with any one of you kindred spirits that are answering this thread. thank you. God bless you.

Dear Duane,
I think Tim has a hard time now, with his wife to the hospital. I can understand him, and I understood also that he got our messages.
We are all sure, that we will listen soon a new his song here, and he will continue to be part of this family....
I think everything is clear right now....we try to be nice with the people depressed ...
a day could happen to us, and so to be in his same situation.
Love and peace!

Tim,
I had no idea your wife had problems, (and as I stick my foot into my oversized mouth), I actually comend you for your situation with the holiday season so near and the burdens you must have on your shoulders.
I tried to choose my wording to keep your ass here at IAC according to your Blog heading. (plus it's my daughters birthday, and I've had a "few".)
Please accept my appologies and if there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
Tell Michele She's already got a STAR!
I hope that everything goes well for you and Michele. I'll say a prayer Bro-
Peace,
Duane
P.S. Why do you listen to those assholes on garageband? : )

Tim,
I am sorry you are down, and you are going through a lot right now. I hope your wife Michele gets better and she is soon at your side.
At times like these, hold on to your music and take comfort you can do what you do....Not everyone can, it truly is a gift.
Don't give up, keep on playing.......I wish you well.

Hang in there Tim .. I know those are just words ... and they are easy to say when one is on the outside ... but they are true none-the-less ... although we may not be going through the same circumstance as you at this present time, each of us has had times that weighed on our very souls ... and I'm not trying to preach or be wise here ... just offering words because that's all I can offer ... You are of an age that you already know that life does some strange things to all of us ... just know that even strangers do care, and hope the best for you and your wife at this time ...
The music has always been there for you ... don't turn your back on it now ...
Peace and Good thoughts to you and Michele ...
Sam
