I am starting to stagnate, so finally , I shall resort to begging for people to listen to at least one of my songs.
Ever since I had to cancel my 'prime' membership, my songlist on my artist's page consists of three songs. I'm not good at self promotion, so no one visits my page, adds to stations, or comments. So unless I beg for a listen or two, I am spinning my wheels in ever churning rut of goo. So here it is:
Please listen to at least one of the three remaining songs. If I had to choose one of the three, I would say, listen to 'Never lose your Thunder' (I think it's the most interesting of the three, and I play all the parts).
When I become employed again, I will opt for 'prime perpetual', and will upload tons of songs for your listening perusal. But right now my participation is pathetic, at best. So please, please, take five minutes away from the great music that resides on IAC, and give a little sumpin' sumpin' to pitiful little wannabe HunkaFunk. God bless you.

Some shithead added my song 'never lose your thunder' to his 'dummass' station...I don't need this shit! If I want to be insulted, I'd spend my time on Garageband. So whoever you are...Take my song OFF of your shit for brains station. I don't think it's cute, or clever, or even lighthearted humor...I think it fucking sucks...So, eat shit and die, and if you can't find any shit, I'll eat a box of raison bran, and produce a huge turd for you to eat, and recycle THAT on your 'dummass" station, you mental midget!

I think LyinDan was just trying to help out..really . Perhaps you may have over reacted? There are some interesting stations and people with unique ideas and approaches to life and things, ...There are some fine artists happening on his stations.

Mea culpa, I should have (and usually do) ask first.

Worse yet, Tim seems to have removed his song from the contest. The comment I made on the Dummass Station was automatically pasted into the song comment on my 2009 World Songs Sorted Station, which was just the first ten songs in the contest, sorted as to votes. Tim's was #10. Seeing that, I'm sure he thought the comment on that station was intentional, which it wasn't.

My apologies, and put your song back in the contest, dude.

That particular song has special meaning to me, as it was written to my son, as a father to son teaching session. It was chosen from over 600 songs, to be entered in the Bob Rivers 2007 'write a bleeping song' contest on KZOK 102.5, Seattle's biggest classic rock station. I know it's not a masterpiece, and could use some production tweaks (I've always wanted to use real drums in lieu the Boss DR-5).

However, I'm proud of the fact that it received FM radioplay during a busy morning show, and was heard by hundreds of thousands during rush hour traffic. I apologize for overreacting.My wife was just released from the hospital, after a three week stay, and I have been unemployed for six months, with my benefits soon to run out. I am very stressed out right now, and seem to let everything bother me.

Many of us musicians have fragile egos, and are somewhat unsure about the quality of our music. Right now, music is the only solace I enjoy from the world that feels ike it is crumbling around me. I'm sure in many people's minds, most of my music is dummass music. I try to refrain from criticising other's artistic attempts, as I feel it is bad Karma. Rather, I will criticise the criticisers, since they seem to be the ones that deserve it anyway.

And Tim, I didn't diss your songs at all. In fact, I wrote a couple of praises to them I think you missed. And the "Listen, dummass!" comment was directed to the listener, not to yourself. I should have asked you whether you wanted to be on (it's my only existing station available for general inclusion) first, because I'm aware it can be taken wrongly. I misjudged. Sorry.

I do hope things get better for you and your wife. There's a lot of pain out there now.

I don't really think not being a prime member stops your songs from being heard. I'm a prime member and I have as many stations playing my songs as you do.

I went for the lifetime membership too.

One thing I liked was someone mentioned they ask before they put a song on their station and that's pretty cool.
I had, (I'm guessing someone that has a problem with me) a station called "Please play my song! add Mellow Madness to their station the very first day I posted it. I had my song removed from their station but stiil.

I don't think you should be able to start a station without a way to know who the person is that started the station. That seems fair to me. Anyhow the big thing about this one station was it had one song on it, yep mine. :) Ha ha!
