Writing Lyrics
I've been writing lyrics to songs for a few years. If a thought comes in my head I jot it down and then type it up and save it for a few years, then one day I look at it again and then maybe do some music to it.
Every song has a life of its own, an undercurrent. Amazon Woman was about a woman who watches a man she can't have, an unrequited love. No Money/No Honey evolved into a rap song at the recording session. My songs are like my children then I send them out into the world and shit happens.I tend to write lyrics in manic batches. Sometimes you are more prolific in your life than others. To me, the words afre first then the music comes. I enjoy the creative prodcess. We all have songs in our heads and feeling s we would like to express. I always have a little notebook to scribble in. Try writing it down, you might surprise yourself.
