the Drum
the manner in which to play a drum
has been discussed, ad nauseam,
since before man could speak
- or even cook his kills.
as in any hunt, you don't approach timidly
- there is enough instinct left to sense this.
you need to know "why" you are punching the skin
and there is no time for epiphany in mid-fight.
the drum is primal - wood, skin and steel.
elements devised in primordial Mind.
they died with dignity and chase
- pounding and fire.
the drum responds only to these virtues.
