Things just ain't the same as they used to be.
I was thinkin' about how great it was bein' a little kid. Ya just didn't care about the world's problems, there were no problems at all. The biggest problem I has was on Sunday morning when my mom woke me up to go to church and she made me wear those fancy itchy pants and those tight black shoes. and I remember little Nancy Bishop. I was 5 years old and so was she, and we were playin' tag and she was smiling and I loved girls every moment of my life from that day on.
and my parents had a country store with 2 sodie machines in front and I'd drink a soda every day and sit on the swing, we had cherry and orange and lime and cream soda and root beer, ya couldn't miss. and Chunky bars, they were so good. They still had those even in my 20s but they messed with the formula so they weren't so good. My dad would take me to Harrisburg with him to meet with businesspeople and one time I went to the sodie machine and they had Dr. Pepper, I'll never forget that day. the original kind with cane sugar, the best soda pop I ever had.
and I remember going to the fair. Me and my best friend from 1st grade Greg Laughman got on this airplane ride and were turnin' the wheel and we turned the thing upside down, we were screamin' and cryin', thought we were gonna die, finally the ride guy shut it down before our guts came out, now those were fun times.

You tell a good ol' nostalgic tale Mr Warner, I have heard many of them before but the one about turning that ride upside down is a new one for me... are you sure you didn't imagine that ? :) Happy life seems to stop once knowledge, reality and conscience take a hold. Thank you for reminding us Sir.

Naw, when ya fly upside down in a carnival airplane, ya never forget it.
One time ain't enough for me, I was hoping for forever. Sometimes ya grow accustomed to someone's voice, and you miss it, all the time. It was on me though, I should've kept it more interesting. Regrets, I've had a few..

Some things never die, the flesh may disappear but the spirit lingers on :)

Such a nostalgic read! Childhood memories like playing tag and sipping sodas truly capture simpler, carefree times. Speaking of fun, have you tried Snow Rider 3d? It reminds me of those childhood thrills, racing down snowy slopes and feeling the rush! Games like that are a great modern way to relive some of that playful excitement—without the itchy pants or upside-down fair rides!
