Introduction
Hi all you listeners and stations out there.
Welcome to a little bit of me. My name is David and I was born in Sydney, Australia. Through most of my life up until my teenage years, I lived in the big smoke. In the suburbs where you could tap on your neighbours window to ask for a cup of sugar. City life was a boring institution and I felt the need to escape the madness so, I started travelling around Australia. I have lived in 5 states in Australia and tried my luck at both country and city living in all of them.
People always ask me, why is it that I write country music? I always tell them that country is about true emotion. The songs don't have to be about the poor bloke down the street who has lost his farm because the bank foreclosed. They don't have to be about the dog dying, the wife leaving and the truck blowing up either. It's just raw emotion. The two songs that I have on this site are some of my most emotional to date. Crikey, That's Dangerous is a tribute to the late Steve Irwin. Steve touched so many lives not only in Australia but around the world. When I heard the news that he had died, the words just flowed. I am glad that people are enjoying listening to this song as his spirit will still remain.
My newest song is Fallen Angel. This song represents the desire to stray and what would be the result. This could mean anything, the desire to stray from your life, towards forbidden fruit. The desire to extend your boundaries but knowing that there will always be consequences. I thoroughly enjoyed making this song as it is a collaboration with a friend who is off to record her album in June.
