timing of site/stat updates?
hello...not a complaint, more of a observation and question:
why do some aspects/areas of IAC not follow their own stated update schedules?
examples-
*the underground 40 says it updates every 3 weeks. its been 27 days since it was last updated (12/20).
*the statistics for plays state that they update once daily, but seem to update (at least to the point that the artist can see the update) only once or twice a week (wednesdays & saturdays?)
*"plays by month" seems to follow the same update schedule as above
*the "big 50" says it's updated weekly. is it really? i don't honestly know, but am skeptical based on the other anomalies posted above.
so, why not change the text on the pages to reflect the ACTUAL update schedule, or actually follow the stated schedule?
on a side note, is anyone else getting the dreaded "server error in "/" application" when trying to access their plays stats today?
thanks for any helpful feedback, and again i'm just curious why these discrepencies aren't ironed out?

This is the kind of question that should've been sent to our dedicated support hotline at iacsupporthotline@gmail.com, where site inquiries and the like are better answered than by the staffers who help out on the pipeline who aren't really involved in these particular aspects of IAC
The Underground 40 is going to be updated in the next 2 days. The reason it wasn't is because the people who put that together didn't count the holiday week.
The KIAC Big 50 has been updated regularly on Sunday Night/ Monday Morning for now 170 consecutive weeks since the very beginning of IAC, not missing one.
Perhaps what they mean by stats updating daily is that each day stats are counted, however, I'll have to check into the other questions you had as that's really not my department, please use the dedicated support hotline, thanx.

thanks alot for the reply and the explanation, toby. i appreciate you checking into the answers for questions you don't know, as well.
i'm a bit confused as to why my blog is not an appropriate forum for these questions, however. i wasn't looking for a private, precise answer (if i had been, i would've used the support email)...rather asking a specific question in the hope of receiving wide ranging responses from the community here. you know, anything from "you look at your stats? loser." to "gee, remote(s), i had noticed that too and was wondering what the deal was" or "remote(s), i've been here WAAAAAY longer than you, and i can tell you that the site does a reasonable job of updating."
you know, a conversation, or whatever.
thanks again for your response and help, toby.

The front page pipeline is not just for artists, it is for listeners as well. We want to provide an ambiance for anyone who happens to stop by to listen to music and nuts and bolts site problems detract from that purpose.
The server error coming up in stats has been fixed, I just got word.
