Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!
To all the musicians and artists here at IAC I wish you all a wonderful holiday period.
Thanks to you all for your fantastic support in 2010 - you'll never know or realise how much it has encouraged me to keep going with my music.
I can't wait to start recording again in 2011 and have an album's worth of material ready to start when we return from organising the Kartong Festival in the Gambia in February.
So - thanks again to everyone here - listeners and behind the scenes.

I love African drumming. Tell us more about the Kartong Festival. When are you going to Gambia?
I'm glad I found your music in 2010. It has been a good year for me musically. I, too, have a lot of music in store for 2011. I hope it's a good year for everyone at IAC.
Happy Holidays,
Tom

All the best Chandra it was good meeting you. I wish you all the best in Gambia and the New Year. I love African music all was been a fan since Andy Kershaw and John Peel who played a lot of amazing African music on there shows. I still think to this day African music never got the true exposure it deserved like Franco with the song Liberte a 9 minute epic that rivals anything else i have ever heard ever. I was also lucky that there was a religious group who had a barn to sell items to raise money for Africa who often did missionary work and would bring back records from all over Africa. It was like my secret goldmine of hidden music that never got the light of day in western culture which should have been all over our airwaves. Everybody got Reggae it's influences came from Africa why this music never crossed over as well don't know i liked it very groovey and unique
