Hello all - question about album release
So excited I'm in the studio tomorrow doing a final mix on my 9 tracks - they're all my artist page here in demo version. Many thanks to those who've added some of them to your stations - it means a lot.

Once they're mastered and coded I'll be properly publically releasing them (probably on Bandcamp for now - either as a 30 min album or single tracks) - I have two more songs that wouldn't work with these tracks so I thought it doesn't really matter if it's only 9 tracks - what do you think?

Anyway I'm so happy this place is working again - still a few glitches but one step at a time.

You’re right that it doesn’t matter but if I were in your place, I would wait until I have a new song that would fit with the others to make it an even 10 songs. In the end, it’s the quality of the songs that’s important not the number but if you’re selling a professional record, it’s good to give people value for their money. Nine seems like an insufficient number for an album, imo.

Yes I've been thinking about it a lot - I think you're right. Rather than release an album I might just choose a single from the nine and hold my horses till autumn as I'm always busy over the summer anyway!

It's so satisfying having finished these tracks - I need to be patient. I'm going to update the tracks here to the better versions soon so at least some people can listen and give me some feed back it they want.

You could even release just 5 of the best songs as an “Extended Play” album and the when you eventually have another good song - you could release the other five songs as another Extended
Play record. You always have options! Some publishers would rather listen to five songs than 10.
