the advantages of obscurity
what I like about being obscure is the fresh air. I roll across counties and nobody even has a clue about what I'm doin'. in fact I guarantee you that no one here on this pipeline had a single thought about t.t. today. this allows me to sneak about my business and accumulate all the inventory of life that helps me to rise above the funk. I don't worry about success because I have all the time in the world and nobody can see me comin'. I can experiment, I can flop, I can flop 1000 times and nobody anywhere sees me flop. I'm like that switch on the artist dashboard that allows you to make your songs inactive, except it's me that seems inactive cause you just don't know what I'm up to and you never will, by god.

Sounds like you're "up to" no good tumbleweed.
Anyway, you're not really obscure, everyone recognizes tumbleweed, but when you've seen one tumbleweed you've seen them all I guess.
Wouldn't you secretly like someone to see past your fluff?

I like to call it hiding in plain sight. There is a wonderful comfort that can only be found in obscurity as you described, agreed.
