Stoneman ~ I remember when you were apprehensive about participating on these blogs and as I recall I was instrumental (no pun intended!) in persuading you to jump into the swim. I'm so glad I did that because you have brought much joy and wisdom to these discussions through your music, intellect and experience.
Please don't ever apologize for your work because it is certainly not feeble at all. The guitar parts and their sound, as well as the interplay between them is amazing! The drums are tasteful, solid and perfectly serviceable for this kind of song. They are programmed beautifully and do not sound mechanical in any way. The whole song lives and breathes with intensity and artful maturity. The subject matter and the powerful music are combined brilliantly. The breakdown is goose-bump inducing as is the sincerity of your soulful voice and the beauty of the melodies.
As an artist who has 14 songs in the top 25 of Classic Rock and the #1 song in that category, I tip my hat to you sir because this song further proves you are a musical genius and producer who can master any genre with ease and for going outside your specialty into the classic rock realm like it was second nature to you. This song is a classic rock masterpiece that has an important message as well as being damn entertaining. Thank you for being one of the driving engines that keeps this place alive and thriving. You are among a small group of individuals (you know who you are) who always take the time to review other people's work even when the people you review hardly ever review anyone else's work. (you know you are too) But that's a subject for another day. Music is my bag, not analytic psychiatry. Congrats on your great new song and thank you for always taking the time to review my songs and in general for always trying to say something interesting and/or helpful. You lead by example and I attempt to do the same. I wish the non-participators would get the message.

Gulp! Uh, wow man you actually made me tear up a bit. Did you ever work on a song and get so excited about it that you just wanted to shout? You know? You listen to it over and over looking for mistakes, hiccups and goofs. But, you can't find any? Then you wonder if it is really as good as you think it is. Receiving comments such as yours is confirmation of the worth of the song. Thank you so much Richard as your words truly made my day.
Yes, it was you that encouraged me to jump into the fray and share my thoughts. I am glad I did. We have had some great discussions here and I look forward to many more. Even if it is just that core group of people. But I am hopeful that more will come and participate.
