Hold On To Your Sunshine
I originally wrote this Rock/Pop song in the summer of 2012. It was inspired by my 6 year old grand niece. However, after it was complete I concluded that it was not good enough and sentenced it to the archival trash heap where all the embarassing songs are dumped. Recently, I went to see my grand niece play T-Ball and was reminded about the song. So, I searched and found it in my trash heap archives, revived it, rewrote it and produced this final result. This time it made the final cut. Kind of makes me want to go back through the hundreds of tossed songs and see if there is anything salvageable there. But I am behind on so many projects right now. Maybe later.............
Thanks For Listening

Aw shucks, Stoneman. Now I'm blushing!
Ego is the enemy of art and generosity is the friend of creativity.
Confidence is important but over-confidence leads to complacency and lazy thinking.
I try to stay grounded by never taking myself too seriously and always believing that my best work is yet to come. I walk a tight rope with every song I write because I'm never sure if I will reach the other side and that's what makes it so exciting. I even think about giving up writing music altogether sometimes because it's like a cleansing experience to let go for a little while. I want to want to do this. I don't want to have to.
With artists like yourself inspiring us everyday it makes me want to keep on keepin' on.
