Slow Down
I have lots of kids (grands, great grands nieces nephews etc.) that are graduating from schools this month. Some are graduating from college and others from pre-school. It has been a very proud but sad time for me as I am seeing my loved ones leave or grow up right in front of my eyes. So, I wrote this song with my selfish advise!

That's a lovely song Stoneman. Heartfelt lyrics and very interesting timing and phrasing. Both my kids are grown up and between my husband and me we now have seven grandchildren so I completely understand the sentiment of this song!

Amen to the Stoneman choir and hallelujah to that glorious guitar. There's nothing more satisfying than a deep universal message wrapped in a delicious musical package served with a generous helping of love, wisdom and experience. I like the lean production because in this case less is more. The words are out front where I like them and what they say are so poignant, poetic and to the point. This song is very relatable and very beautiful.

Yeah, I dig that rhythm guitar, too.
Kids just grow up faster these days, much as we want them to slow down. I hope you get to take it slow.

I love the rhythms in this with all the stops and syncopations - but still a great smooth groove - and that line "don't over live your life" is brilliant.
