Predominance of hot chicks on the Hitline
A coincidence? Just wondering.

I noticed that too.
Somebody is trying to get laid? I don't think it's gonna work that way.

Thanks for your interest in the Hitline. It was updated today. The count is 8 guys, 7 girls, and one mixed band. We will strive to maintain strict equality in representation of genders.

So where are the trannies?

If you can point some out, we could possibly evaluate their music, and consider inclusion. Do note, however, that males and females are split about 50/50 in the population, while trannies are a much smaller segment, and so would not warrant equal representation on the Hitline.

Well, it's not that they wouldn't "warrant" equal representation, but, as you say, they're a much smaller segment.
Still, you could prosibbly be surprised at their representation.

Ok, trannies aside for a moment. I just don't see whats wrong with having a lot of hot chicks on the hitline. If all the songs on the Hitline were by hot chicks, I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as the music is hot. I mean, why should the Hitline be based on gender percentages? It should be based on how good the music is. Right? If men have to step their game up because the women are dominating, so be it. Well, that's just my opinion. Now, back to the trannies. If there are any here and they have really good music, why not just put them on the hitline? It's the hitline, not the gender, genre and sexual identity line. If it's a hit, line it up!
Okay, I know, my opinion probably doesn't count for much but it makes sense to me. It's all music to me and I don't care much about WHAT the artists are. I care more about the music they play. Rock On?

Stoneman, you have made a sagacious and direct post. You stated, clearly, a point that I too dryly attempted to illustrate. :)
We will not of course really strive to maintain gender equality. Just quality music, fall where it may!
Pipeline readers, please do suggest potential Hit songs that could be included, be they from male, female, mixed, or other.

If you'll reread my original post - it wasn't a complaint - merely an observation. I try not to judge books by their covers. I don't think IAC needs to worry about gender equality, but rather be concerned only with the quality of music it presents.
