New groovy, moody song
This song is called "Sirens" and I think it's got a pretty cool groove. A little on the psychedelic side. One of those songs where you can't really pinpoint what it's about. But they're usually about relationships, aren't they?
Here it is, give it a listen:
Sirens
Critiques are always welcome.

Tom ~ Good music, good vocals , good lyrics! My only suggestion is to get to that catchy chorus a little sooner. This is the structure that I think would flow better:
The sirens of fortune
They scream through the night
The echoes of virtue
On the side of the right
And fate only knows
If they'll get there at all
And who will get hurt
Who will stumble and fall
The dawn breaks and no one can fix it
The night brings out something illicit
The cycle repeats in monotony
And never are we who we ought to be
The red flashing light
Like a ghost in my room
In one moment bright
And then back to the gloom
And my own emergency
Is never called in
A cry in the night
Till it's day once again
The dawn breaks and no one can fix it
The night brings out something illicit
The cycle repeats in monotony
And never are we who we ought to be
You made me some coffee
Tortillas and eggs
And got me to stand
On my two shaky legs
You ironed the shirt
I had thrown on the floor
And made no demands
As I walked out the door
The dawn breaks and no one can fix it
The night brings out something illicit
The cycle repeats in monotony
And never are we who we ought to be

Good suggestion Richard. If I ever play it live, I think I'll do it that way. I just wanted you to have to wait for that great chorus. It works when you're listening to the album. But the chorus is worth singing another time. Thanks for the input.

Either way, it's another winner. Looks like you're on a roll!
It's good to wait for a chorus but if you have to wait TOO long, attention can
dissipate. When you have a chorus that tasty, serve it up before the guests get filled
on the starters.
