Something I'd overlooked
This is a song I recorded a few months back and kind of dismissed. Never even played it for anybody. But in putting together my latest batch of songs, I listened again, and I think I dig it. "The Sea Inside" is the name of a book about the mind. Can't remember the author. I was thinking of the amazing mind of my friend and collaborator, Bob Elliott. Tell me your thoughts.

The Sea Inside was written by Randall Williams
Almost thirty and recently divorced, Randall Williams began re-creating his life - by selling virtually everything he owned and moving into a 20' sailboat that he bought for eight hundred dollars. His plan: sail his little floating home single-handedly from Scandinavia to North Africa, despite having practically no previous sailing experience.

Wow, that sounds like a great story! But it's not what I was thinking of. I looked it up - it's actually not the title, but rather a concept within the text. The book is called, "Mindsight" and it's by Daniel Siegel, M.D. It's all about looking at how your brain is able to look at itself. With better understanding of our own brain processes we can see ourselves a little more clearly.

It's all "grist for the mill", says the proverb.
