Kind of an Odd Song
Every once in a while, the muse hits you from left field, and you end up writing a song about an odd topic. This is one such song. I was reading about dying languages - there are many spoken by only a handful of elders - and I thought, what would it be like to be the last speaker on Earth of your native language? Carrying all the vocabulary, grammar, songs and stories, would you feel lonely not having anyone to share them with?
Anyway, that's where this song came from. I hope you like it.
The Last Man on the Earth

I enjoyed the song and the sentiment. Forgotten peoples / cultures always seem to color my worldview. My wife says this is what makes me Mr Doom and Gloom, she may be on to something there. I think it is due to my feeling that we are living in the end stages of a culture and I have empathy for the uncountable number of people that lived through the same thing. So, you know, I was trippin.

How "a muse sing?"... this song's "nostalgic" affect's effect upon me even though I'm hearing it for the very first time. It's a "Good One" Tom! =m=
