A song in 4 Acts
This song is a little odd in that it doesn't have a repeating chorus, but rather, 4 distinct parts that somehow all fit together. The subject matter is a little peculiar, too - how would you spend your time if you found out that today would be your last day on Earth? Because one of these days, it will be.
This Might Be Your Day

My god man, you get better and better, that was incredible. From your perfect tenor to the great change in rhythms in this song, you got a spirit like Donovan. You are yet another example of a great artist who applies to the Beach Boys adage I Just Wasn't Made For These Times. You outshine previous name acts like Dan Fogelberg and Al Stewart by a million miles but few will ever hear you and that's a pity. but a consolation prize is that you clearly love making music, hope you keep bringing us songs til the day you sing of.

Tom, Versatility is obviously a major strength of yours. Every song is different and shows a remarkable work ethic with true creativity and imagination. Your stuff continually transcends musical and lyrical boundaries. There’s apparently no limit to what you can do. Whether or not your music is heard and appreciated as much as it deserves to be is an open question.
But the beauty of being an indie artist is that it is a labor of love. I don’t need a record deal to feel validated and neither do you. If your peers love what you do and you love what you do, you’re a superstar!!

I have to agree with everyone else. Your composition skills, and your sensitivity and taste, is simply wonderful. A beautiful song and concept. A deep lesson for all. Bravo!

Thanks, guys - I'm humbled by the effusive praise! A song is just a medium between two minds, and it is always so satisfying when I feel my mind connect with someone else's. It's been a long time since I've heard applause - but I could hear yours. Thank you for getting it.
