(But it is messed up that I am experiencing my best 3 minutes of the day before 5:30 AM. It's all downhill from here, lol!)

Larrerree, I usually have to RACE down the hallway at full speed between 5 o’clock and 6 o’clock! Usually after a 3:30 in the morning run, and a midnight run..
Lately instead of laying back down on my couch and watching Perry Mason over and over again, I have been getting up, next thing I know it’s 6 o’clock at night!
Actually, on this particular song, the guitar work at the beginning is both me and Scott. It just sounds like One guitar player because of the way that I recorded the part. We do that twice in the song and then I took over about halfway through. But on the previous song “we were escaping” at the very end there is a guitar duet, and I swear to God, I can’t tell the difference between Scott and myself, I don’t even remember what the hell I played
The wawa Guitar in the middle (of escaping) is the same solo that I played in our cover of “stormy” except that for that song, I made it sound like a saxophone. I had to tweak with effects to get it to sound like that.
I lost my ability to reprogram that effect. It is a digiTech iStomp, I was using a beat up old iPhone 4 to load the patches into it, but then the app stopped working and I could not reinstall it because it’s not in the store anymore or, the store stopped working on that POS phone. I owned all of the effects, I bought 5 of em then they offered em for free, except for Adrian Belew’s “impossible pedal”, which I used on “the man who hugged the flag”, they used to charge $20 for that effect, but I figured out a way of stealing it from the app ha ha ha! I jail broke my iPhone, and I installed a tweak that allowed me to steal an app purchases, it worked pretty well for a while. So I tried to buy the impossible pedal, and it actually loaded into my iPhone 4S that I had back when I was using that pedal a lot . Later, when I moved the app into the crummier Phone, I was surprised when I restored all of my past purchases and the impossible pedal loaded right in. But I only ever used it on that one song. It is kind of a pain because in order to switch effects on the pedal you have to load them from the iPhone app. And it only works with an iPhone, and it only works with an old iPhone with 30 pin lightning cable!
The adapter that connects to the effect is only a 30 pin cable, I’ve tried to buy adapters to make new lightning ports work with the damn thing but they don’t have data transfer. They are only for charging. Grrr. I ordered about five different ones from Amazon and I returned all of them. Several of the adapters I bought claimed that they transferred Data, but they LIED! But they apologized and refunded my money.
If I can find an adapter like that that works, I would be able to use that effect, it is a patch called “swingshift“ it turns your Guitar into a whole bunch of really weird wonderful sounds, I’m not really sure what it does, but you can hear when I kick it in because then the Guitar Sounds like a buzz saw!
Actually, everybody will get to hear it one last time because I used it in this last song (top shecret!) that (shh it’s a SHECTRET!) helped with, I used it at the very beginning and it’s more like a texture than a sound. But I completely forgot what I played where I used that so when the song is released, we will all get to hear it!
K luv ya buy buy gnite!
Ok end of #TOME!

You get awesome guitar tones, my bro! And you and Scott sound so good together. (You're right. I can't tell who is who!) I always have a huge smile on my face when I listen to you guys. If we were all 30 - okay, 40 years younger, our bands would be on tour together!

I used to do everything with that little piece of crap trace Elliot super tramp amp, it sounded great while it lasted. It blew out after about four years, I sold it to Glen Taylor who was the guy that always recorded Rod. Hoping that he would be able to fix it, but he was stumped too. Too bad, I always use that with my Hamer USA Diablo, but I don’t have that anymore either I traded that and my Les Paul Junior for my Flying V!
(and I don’t even use that very much anymore. I used it in “Chicago”, I’ve got an array of cheap crappy guitars that sound great, I just picked up a Glarry “Strat”: with a star caster headstock, I can’t wait to start using that. 50 bucks, score! I mostly use a Franken Caster made by the guy who does some guitar work for me)

Some of those bargain guitars are outstanding. It's all in the fingers, not the labels.

I had been using two Indonesian Hamer XTs, an SPJ-NT similar to a Junior with one Dog-Eared P90, the other a Honeyburst arched top SATFP90-HB with two soapbar P90s. Both made around 2010, before Kaman was swallowed whole by Fender, ending the whole Hamer Catalog. The SPJ cost me 200 brand new back in 2011, I got the P90 a year later for 3 bills. They figured prominently in our first album especially if there was Slide. I last used The SATFP90 on “Getting to the bottom of the problem”.
In fact I got a fake Dan Armstrong for 3 bills, then a Dan Electro 64XT for 550, and a Squier Tele for 1 bill, because it had a crack in the back, both of those were made in Indonesia. I use the last two a lot. But I now have an assortment of FrankenKlecker guitars made by my fiend John Klecker, and I have been using one of his FrankenPartsCasters for leads, but what’s most amazing is that somebody gifted me a Yamaha VX35 amp, and I’ve been doing a lot of work with these guitars directly out of that amp with no other effects, Age of the Simpleton used that guitar.
I got the 64XT cos of its Mozrite shape, it’s got a dual Lipstick pickup and a big fat P90, you can split the dual lipstick by pulling up the Vol pot, and I use it like that. The remarkable thing is the Wilkinson whammy bar that has no locking nut and I can abuse that thing like mad without putting the guitar out of tune.
Lately, the weirder and cheaper, the better, but the homemade Partscasters are the best! (Sorry about the 2nd #TOME)
