Thanks, it was, wasn't it?
People may not read it cause from the topic header they think it's probably about me fawning over rock stars again. It ain't.

That was hella funny and fascinating at the same time. I started smelling a scam right from the beginning. I loved the way you handled it. That was genius level!
Much Respect,

I got a friend request from Bob Dylan yesterday. It said we had one friend in common. Guess who it is!

Oh geez, he's like a virus then.
Sorry.
Do you know where I can get rid of these things?"
And Louie the King said, "Let me think for a moment, son"
Then he said, "Yes, I think it can be easily done
Just take everything down to Highway 61"

Scott------- this story really made me roll on the floor, it has given me a totally new perspective on you and your love of Indie Music-----
Now here in NZ it is very hard to get American dollars, I have a great deal to offer you where you can make $2.00 for every American dollar you post to New Zealand, I won't go into the details here because everyone is watching, but you will shortly be recieving a plain looking suitcase by courier full of NZ currency in 2 cent pieces. it is very heavy of course, so will cost a shitload of postage, ------!!!
all the best

I know two Nigerian princes who would love to meet you!
But seriously, I'm having a terrible time getting spammed with 20 ads a day and but the really crazy thing about it is that they are all from seemingly private Yahoo accounts like johnsmith@yahoo.com
This has been going on for 3 weeks and it's driving me batty. I was advised not to "unsubscribe" because that only tells the spammers that my address is active. I know lot's of people get unsolicited e-mail ads but what makes this different is that all the ads are from the same source: yahoo accounts with real names and accounts. Usually ads are from different random sources or the actual websites for the ads but not these. They are all from Yahoo members. WTF???? I've reported this to spam@uce.gov as well as Yahoo corporate headquarters and received no response. My inbox has been hijacked and it's a pain in the ass. Why does Yahoo even exist? Sorry for the rant! I had to vent.
I'll never forget when my poor mother was almost scared to death by two assholes
over the phone telling her that her computer would self destruct if she didn;t give them a l her personal info so they could "fix" her computer. Luckily she called me and I told her to ignore that nonsense but her sense of disillusionment was so sad.
She said, "They sounded so sincere and honest. What's the world coming to?"

Great story Scott !....Never realised Dylan was so poor grammatically -he covers it up well in his song lyrics, specialy as it sounds almost like English isn't even his first language here... "You don't know how relief I am with this!" :D :D

Haha, yeah - I'm not a native English speaker, and I probably make mistakes too, but even I laughed at the absurdity of "Bob Dylan" speaking English so poorly. ^_^

"Alright" said Judas Priest, "alright I'll leave you here,/ but you better choose which of those bills you want, before they all disappear." LOL
I remember a synchronicity relating to the web...way back around '97 or so, when Aol was getting started...friend and I visited a chat room, goofing around, making up stories to everyone we met...and this guy (it seemed) began offering us large sums of money in a briefcase if we would come down to this pizza place on broadway, in the 50s, at a certain time, blah blah blah later that evening...so we said "sure" lol...
The next day we went to a poetry reading, we rarely did stuff like that, but we went, and one of the readers there was a guy who read a poem about being offered a large sum of money in a briefcase the day before, if he would go down to the same pizza place in the 50s...lol...
