There's an enormous faction of U.S. output that's due to more or less recent immigrants.
Wonder why us whose families have been here for hundreds of years have so low an output? Moi, fer instance, I go back to ole Woolrich, in the mid 1700's. You could say, well, you guys have got yours and now you're living on it. Lazy. Don't need to have the drive. That would not be Moi, though, I need the drive, myself. Someone kick me.
