Larree, I totally agree with you and Paul. FB practices censorship and also tramples on the First Amendment. We won't find that here at IMP.
The ONLY reason I even got on FB a year and a half ago, was because I sent the MonaLisa Twins a parcel of gifts and they asked my permission to feature them on their FanMailFriday. Then, when I quit their #timesuck fan club 6 months later, I was going to de-activate FB.
Enter Whitherward, and I stayed only because of following them and their "Music Monsters" fan club. In the 18 months on FB, I have gaining 25 pounds instead of losing a needed 25 or 50. This was going to cause an earlier death for me.
So, I got off for a month, and got many things on my "to-do" list accomplished. I got back on 2 weeks ago, because Whitherward returned to Omaha last weekend. After I gather the FB photos from that great weekend, I will de-activate again. Maybe I'll just get back on when WW comes to town, or maybe one week per month,
To wrap this up, one on my FB buddies in Denmark posted about how the Danes hid and protected the Jews during the Holocaust. I wrote a reply how I visited the death camps while in Poland in 1985, and all the others groups besides the Jews that were the main targets of the Nazis. After I completed my comment, I went back in to edit a misspelled word, but could not do so. My comment was marked as spam and grayed out. Fortunately, I copy/pasted the grayed out comment to MS Word right away. I went back to FB and my comment was totally gone without a trace. I know for a fact that the poster did not delete it. It was censorship by FB.
I totally agree with you that it can be nice to connect with friends there. But hey, I can follow my bands on Instagram, YouTube live concerts streams, by e-mail, web pages, and even connect by phone.
So yes, overall SCREW Facebook! You just reminded me to copy/paste my comment back into FB from MS Word to my own post and see if they trample on my first amendment right. If they do it again, I'm gone forever from there. Thanks!

It's really true Paul. Zuckerberg is getting grilled by Congress and ripped online. One man cannot control what is out of control, but his is the face of it all.
I surmise I'll soon be amongst the droves. There are even tutorials on how to not only inactivate one's account, but also how to download all of one's date there and then to completely delete everything. I even posted these links on Facebook and dared them to again censor my speech. If you want these links I can copy/paste them here.
I got along quite fine w/o FB for 6 and a half decades. It has, and is still providing a lot of fun, but at a cost I'm no longer willing to pay. As Sir Elton sang, "I'm going back to the farm."
