hi,
yeah, which is the cover???
turns out the four tops version = the cover.
w nyc rainy day footage on their video.
a friend of mine's daughter named bernadette, partially due to a four tops song of the same name. or prob'ly the saint i dunno...
the left banke from nyc, associates with the avante garde art scene in paris, if i recall. you know van gogh, monet, gauguin, cezanne, where the artists got together, on the left bank of the seine river, and drank coffee, and talk about art.....

Steve: Again, thanks for the lesson in NYC avant gaurde! I love that scene, like the whole Andy Warhol crew, Velvet Underground, and in the 90's with Sonic Youth, and so many others still going to this day.... GREAT stuff, and the BEST side of Indie, and somewhat Underground music.
It usually comes with a SCENE, that's why we need an IAC Scene, and with a quickness.

All the characters in my songs ~ the Gypsies, the Saras, and the on this album, Alice and Juliet ~ they're all me. But they're all different sides of me.

Thanks Steve, always loved both versions.
As for the Left Banke, my other favorite was always Pretty Ballerina. Really lovely minor melody with the cool instrumental in the middle (probably influenced by Eleanor Rigby, but it really stands on its own).

Concerning "walk away rene" turns out the bass player tom finn's a world class dj, djed for the clinton white house etc.
what's more, seems like Rene was his girlfriend. at the time.
They were the tender age of 16 at the time.
I invited Tom over to check out the thread, "walk away rene" like lightning in a bottle, a song popular to this day, and compares favorably with upper echelon beatles songs, in every way, if i may say...
greetings silverdood, lars, hop on pop, conversation, and all contributors, we should do more music and emotion, why not, encourage your fav youtubes here...

Here's some local folks that have, sadly fallen apart. However, the album that this is from is a beautiful document of an absolutely wonderful band:
