Hey Steve - is Townshend someone in politics current day? I'm pretty informed, but don't know who he is, or didn't get what you meant. Creepy coincidence about Romney though ...

Hi Dolores,
Referring to Pete Townshend from the Who, maybe a distant cousin???
Pete's got a famous song that talks about "the Constitution," i.e. tip my hat to the new constitution," on "We Won't Get Fooled Again."
I raise my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!
We don't get fooled again
--pete townshend

here's a mitt romney- in-england update...
Mitt Romney’s English Misadventure
Author: A Mohit
Published: July 29, 2012 at 6:59 am
Mitt Romney’s foreign travel was to demonstrate his extra-ordinary foreign policy skill; instead it only shows how clueless he is when international politics is concerned.
Sitting with NBC News anchor Brian Williams in England, Mitt Romney, hoping for a cheap propaganda, remarked that he found “disconcerting” signs that England was not ready for the Olympics. He just wanted to flaunt his expertise gained from running the Utah games several years ago. His host, the British Prime Minister David Cameron however was not amused and he took Romney to cleaners. He responded with: it is easier to hold an Olympics in the “middle of nowhere,” referring to Salt Lake City.
There was huge uproar in the British press and Mitt the self-proclaimed foreign policy wizard backed down even before the ink was dry. On Friday he told NBC's Today Show on that he was "absolutely convinced that the city” was ready for the games. Wow! What an about turn it is! The CEO-supremo has now proven beyond doubt that his only qualification in life is, he is a member of lucky sperm bank, and his grand success in business was achieved at the cost of robbing hard earning Americans of their basic livelihood, exporting their jobs to overseas.
Switching to damage control mode, Romney met Cameron and expressed his new found confidence in the ability of the British government to successfully stage the Olympics. Did anyone say Mitt Flip-flop Romney?
Nevertheless, soon after he committed a serious breach of protocol by expressing publicly that he had met with the head of the British intelligence agency M16, Sir John Sawers. Romney said, “I can only say that I appreciated the insights and perspectives of the leaders of the government here and opposition here as well as the head of MI6 as we discussed Syria and the hope for a more peaceful future for that country.” The British government was upset and even refused to comment on the meeting, telling CBS, “Sir John Sawers meets many people, but we don’t give a running commentary on any of these private meetings.”
