A POEM TO MUSIC
Music provides us liquid tones,
developed molecules popping warmer,
richer info density, the world's will,
and wavelength, a home for kids, and charmer.
Exciting pleasure centers, bearing
healing waves, soothing, medicinal,
Benificent power, resonating, supportive,
opposite of downer chemicals.
Does music reach out through darkness
to reach our listening inner ear?
I'd like to surmise the music's
God's wavelength, and wants us to hear.
Inverse of dark stars, black holes
extravaganzas, with abyss,
a Bach chorale, or rock'n roll
seems ever-born to exist.

Thank you Stoneman, and Bryon.
What I love to do is compose a hummable melody, or a great tune, and work out the chord changes, and song structure.
With regard to words, I like Dylan's description of how words affect him...
'every one of those words rang true
and glowed like burning coals,
pouring off of every page
like it was written in my soul
from me to you,
tangled up in blue. '
Hope to continue with song reviews, and providing commentary and encouraging alternative musicians/artists on my stations here.
Viva la musique...
(Alas I have health issues and continuing responsibilities away from here, including a mom who is over 90 years old, God bless her soul. So may not be around so much, time'll tell I guess.
Happy New Year all...

I set a poem to music once, the first verse of this song written by this chick named Laura. It's about fornicating and the girl couldn't come up with any more then the first 4 lines so I wrote the rest. There's was another version planned for about 15 minutes, let's just say it would have made a great soundtrack for an X-rated movie. The singer was up for it but I nixed it at the last minute, bad move on my part..
Enjoy...
